Taster Class - Make a Tile

During this 2 hour ‘taster class’ at my studio in Totnes, Devon, you will learn the basics of working with glass enamel powders. You will make a design for your own 20cmx 20cm wall tile which I’ll fire for you, ready for collection another day. You could use your tile at home as a feature amongst plain tiles, or frame it to hang as a work of art!

Your design might be abstract or could incorporate a motif, such as the fish in the example shown. The defined outlines are achieved with stencils, and we provide tools to create these; or if you prefer you can choose from several pre-prepared stencils including trees, flowers, seahorses and many more.

Whether you already work in glass, or are a complete novice, I will tailor your tuition accordingly.

Choose from the dates below to book. Some are a morning class commencing at 9.30am, and others are an evening class commencing at 6pm. Our dates for the second half of 2024 will be published in the Spring.

If you wish to give a place to someone as a gift and would like them to be able to choose their preferred date this is no problem at all – just select Gift Voucher at the bottom of the dates list. This will be valid for 12 months. We’ll email the voucher to you, and an information sheet to go with it.
